Eugene Carlin Obituary
Eugene T. Carlin, age 63, of Middletown, CT died unexpectedly on July 13, 2023.
Gene had survived his husband of 30 years, Bob Bridgett, who died in 2015. They enjoyed a life together full of love, laughter and travel. Gene will be remembered for his infectious laugh and unending stories. He brought any gathering to life and will be greatly missed.
Gene is survived by his sisters Marby LaTorraca (Bob), Crystal Carlin (Terry) and Jane Darling, his many in-laws, his "son" Shawn Jobbagy, ten nieces and nephews and more loving friends than could possibly be listed!
Gene was also predeceased by his parents Charlie and Jerry, his brother Chuck and sisters Phyllis and Jerry.
A celebration of Gene's life will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Sept. 8, 2023, at Wethersfield Country Club - 76 Country Club Road, Wethersfield, CT.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice in Gene's honor.

My sincere condolences to the Carlin Family. And to those who were blessed to have Gene in their lives.
I first met Gene in Junior Highschool. It wasn't long before I absolutely loved this guys wit and uncanny sense of humor. We shared so many cherished memories.
I first met Gene's sister Marby at Hamden Plains Park where she worked for the Park and Rec summer program. Then his sister Jane through mutual friends also at Hamden Plains Park. They are truly unique and beautiful people.
I will forever love you Gene. I am grateful that our paths crossed in this life. Rest peacefully until we meet on the other side.

Gene had a wonderful way with words. I loved his openness and ability to express himself. His honesty and compassion were refreshing in a place that oftentimes lacked both. I wish his spirit peace, love, and continued adventures in the hereafter.

Eugene was better known as G Money. He was authentic, charismatic, and funny. He always had a positive outlook on his situation. It was a pleasure meeting him and he will forever be in my memory.

I have many memories with Gene. We went to Junior High and High School together. But it is the memory of the extracurricular activities that really stands out to me in the expanse of all the time that has transpired. He introduced me to Dan Hicks and his Hot Licks and also It's a Beautiful Day way back when. We went to Deutschland together. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing.

So very sorry to hear about the loss of Gene. There are many cherished memories growing up next door to the Carlin family which will never be forgotten.
Unfortunately, throughout time, we´ve had to endure these sad memories as well.

I'm so sorry for your loss. The Carlin family lived down the street where I grew up. I remember Marby and playing with Jerry, Chrissy and "Gene and Jane". They always were a fun and loving family. I hope your memories will give you peace.
