Evanel and her family lived in one of the new subdivisions built near Hwy 225 at the time, in the same home until she moved in 2005. She was a school teacher in her early years, and later opened a beauty shop that she owned and operated until she retired in 1998. Her and her husband were actively involved in the early formation of Asbury Methodist Church, which is now Asbury United Methodist Church and has moved twice from its original location on Tatar St and is now located in a new facility on Space Center Blvd. She remained active up until recently. She is survived by two children, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and her sister Mary Jane Harrington of Frankston, TX., and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews Her eldest child Bill and his family, wife Robyn and daughter Shalene, live in Grovedale, Australia which just west of Melbourne. Flowers For The Living
Mom, as i write this letter to you, so much goes through my mind, where do i start to put down on paper a whole life of feelings, for in so many ways, you have had so much of an impact on my entire life from the day i was born until the day you went on to Heaven and are now with the Lord.
You are now reunited with Dad, what a time you must be having. Like the song speaks of, "I Can Only Imagine". You will know what that means, and you must be so happy and with no more pain and suffering.
Mom i am really looking forward to our reunion as we will all be coming at different times to stand along side of you as we join you and Dad as we go through the gates of Heaven to meet the Lord. Mom, in reflection back over the years,i think of my childhood and how settled and secure, i always felt, just knowing you were near when ever i needed you for anything and you never failed to be there. As i grew older ,our closeness always grew stronger the further i travelled through my journey in life. One never outgrows a relationship of love and devotion, it becomes a part of you which we all need and cherish our entire life. It sustains us through the many stages of life, the good times and especially through the hard times. Mom you have always been in my life, and through your example and presence, will always be there in my life, even now, though you are there in heaven, you will never be forgotten or taken for granted. You are part of who i am, and i thank you so much for that. I now have a wonderful family and enjoy the same closeness and values which you and Dad had with Ron and i.Robyn is a wonderful devoted wife and lifes partner.
Shalene is a battler in this life, but through her disabilities, her tenderness and sensitivity shows through, and we are reminded how special she is and how much we need the lord in our lifes. Shalene certainly knows and loves and feels God in her life. Clinton is a wonderful young man and is well adjusted, and has his own life now with a wonderful wife in Lauren and together they love each other very much and compliment each other in so many ways as a couple. Thankyou so much for the precious time you and Dad put into Shalene and Clintons'lifes when they were young children, they have never forgotten it. Mom you have had a part in all our lives through your presence, your principles, your understanding and your love. We all love you dearly. Because of your input and prayers, we have all been blessed.
All our love
Bill,Robyn,Shalene,Clinton and Lauren.

What a lovely, loving lady! She was a wonderful example of a Christian.
My thanks to those who did the slide show. It brought back so many memories of a life well-lived.

Nanny McGraw was always a great and loving person to be around. I have known the McGraw Family for most of my life. I remember going over to her place or she would come over her son Ron's house for their famous Sunday Lunch, spending time with her and the McGraw Family. Those are moments I will always cherish. She was like a Grandma to me and always treated me with kindness and love. R.I.P Evanel "Nanny" McGraw, we love you and see you one day up in Heaven
