George Savage Obituary
Monaca - George Ronald Savage, age 80, of Monaca, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. George was born February 9, 1941 to the late Charles and Ethel Savage. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Shirley who he met on a blind date in 1969 and married on Valentines Day 1970.
His proudest achievements were his children; Matthew Savage, Rebecca Savage (fiancé Brian Porter) and Melessa (Steven) Hrelec. He was a dedicated grandfather to; Cassandra "Cassie" Savage, Veronica Mae Hrelec and Sawyer "Peanut" David Porter. He will be missed by his sister Joyce Bruce.
George was a member of the Monaca American Legion, Monaca Sons of Italy, Life member of the VFW Aliquippa, Monaca Polish National Alliance and the National Rifle Association. George retired from J&L Steel Company and worked for Beaver Valley Heat Treating.
A United States Marine who served honorably during Vietnam. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
George will always be remembered by those of us who knew and loved him. Although we will miss his smile, kindness and love we take consolation in all the wonderful memories.
He was preceded in death by his sister Linda Pipchok and brother Charles Savage, Jr.
Friends and family are welcomed on Wednesday August 4, 2021 at the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home 273 Route 68 Rochester PA 15074 from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM. On Thursday August 5, 2021 a funeral service with full military honors will take place at 11AM. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.Saul-Gabauer.com.
