I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Robinson. We met Dr Robinson under unfortunate circumstances at Toledo Hospital when our son was born, and subsequently passed away, 23 years ago. Dr. Robinson was instrumental in helping us get the genetic help and answers we needed, and saw to it that we had guidance from the NIH. If it weren

I trained at Akron Children's hospital from 1973-76. We had five incredible doctors in pathology, whether it was in lab medicine or tissue pathology. Haynes was one of them. He was preceded in death by Dr. Howard Nigel and Dr. Joseph Potter. He is survived by Dr. Marvin Platt and Dr. Dimitri Agamanolis.
You could not ask for a better team of doctors when it came to figuring out difficulty diagnoses. Haynes was very helpful and kind when it came to curbside consultations or explaining information about patients. He was very learned but could crack a joke as well. I especially remember a Grand Rounds presented in the Sherman Auditorium in years past that he presented with Dr. Bob Klein, a Caucasian Pediatric surgeon. They started the presentation with the revelation that they were fraternal twins (Not really!) but went on to explain the very real possibility of such an occurrence even though the probability was low. They really brought the house down with that one but that's the was they were, especially Haynes.
So we at Children's and in Medicine, in general, have lost a great doctor, clinician, educator, and friend. He will be hard to replace. They don't make them like Haynes much anymore!

My sincere sympathy to his family. My father's faith in Haynes over 60 years ago was well-deserved, as proven by Haynes' illustrious career.

We saw Dr. Robinson shortly after our son who has special needs was born. Dr. Robinson was such a kind and wonderful physician. He had such a caring heart. As new parents caring for a disabled child - meeting with Dr. Robinson helped us immensely. I will never forget him. He will surely be missed by so many...our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

It was such an honor and privilege to know and learn from Dr. Robinson. He would always have a smile for everyone. I knew the minute he walked into our NICU, our babies were in safe and loving hands. Thank you for your gift to the world Dr. Robinson, you made it a much better place.

Dr. Robinson was an amazing boss, mentor and friend to me. He always encouraged us to treat those we counseled with passion. He was a true jokester and sometimes called to tell a joke or tease. His heart was huge, his smile was beautiful. I was so sad to hear of his passing. God welcomed into heaven an awesome man this week.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Dr. Robinson's passing. I was an employee at Akron Children's Hospital, and never did I pass him in the hallway and he not smile. We were fortunate enough to have Dr. Robinson as our geneticist concerning a long familial genetics concern, which he quickly resolved. When he spoke, you knew you were speaking with a brilliant man. A man of kindness, compassion, who was loved and respected. All class. Thank you for your service to our country, communities, and so many families like mine. Sending love and respects to the family. May you rest peacefully Dr. Robinson.
