My sincere condolences to your families. Hubie, was my first boss, when I moved to Fort Wayne from Fairmount, Indiana to go to International Business College. At that time he was the Evening School Director at the college for veterans attending college on the GI Bill. I was the secretary. He and his wife Becky, were the kindest people I had ever met. I hope that all the good memories you have will give you peace and comfort, that would be what he would want for you.

Our family sends our condolences and love to the entire Ashcraft family. We will always remember the huge smile he would have on his face as Hubie Jr. was playing. He would always offer us a place to sit if the venue was packed. I always enjoyed listening to him talk about how proud he was of his family. He was such a great gentleman. We will miss him dearly.

Hubie Harrison, my brother, was a fine musician and a finer man for all times. He was the third of four generations of Huberts. He and Becky loved family and music. Oh! What joy Hubie #4 and Carly have given to their parents. The two of you, along with your children, Fiona Shay, Jackson John, and Daisy Mae are contonuing the heartfelt dream. Ed and I are crushed and will miss him. And the beat goes on!
Love Always, Micki and Ed Judd

We have so many fond memories of Senior. We had so many great times with him listening to you Hubie. He was so proud of the son, husband, father and musician you have become. Carly; he told us many times how proud he was of you. So proud of what a wonderful daughter, wife, and mother you are. Steph, Bart and the grandchildren were very special to him. We loved him and he will be missed by many. May you find peace and comfort knowing that you had a loving and caring Dad and best friend. Love Mike & Sue

Hubie Sr. was in my life for about 25 years. He helped mentor both of my children and I could not have asked for a better teacher/friend. He was the kindest, nicest, and finest person to have in our family's life. I love his children Hubie and Carly, I wish I had the power to make their pain go away.

To the Dear Family of Hubie,
Hubie was my friend and teacher. I have fond memories of traveling with Hubie during high school to Muncie for band practices of Roosevelt Johnson and the Seven Seas (I play a little guitar on a '67 ES330). They were a great band: I have a copy of a 45 by them that Hubie gave me. Going to shows at BSU and other colleges with Hubie for the band were some of my greatest memories. Hanging out with him at his apartment in Garrett and listening him play on his ES335 was a joy. He was kind to me and my family, who also loved him. Hubie was a true friend and mentor for me. His fire and inspiration, and musical gifts were amazing. He knew about any kind of music, and smart on business. I will miss him dearly and hope we can meet up again some day. Blessings to all of his family and friends. John.

To all the family....I am so sad to hear of Hubie's death....he was a good friend from growing up to beyond. We lived a block away from Hubie in Seymour, and got in lots of fights, laughed, and finally played in our first band. His sisters' 45 record collection was the envy of all, and Hubie took good care of it adding. Hubie was the first of us to get a good guitar....a white Fender, and he was always the best player and best musician...most of the family were. Lots of good memories, which are fading too fast now. Strength to you all and love from the past and into the future.... Jim King

I didn't personally know mr. Ashcraft but always enjoyed seeing him as he was his son's biggest fan and it was always so sweet to watch the pride in his face as he watched. I did usually speak to Hubie,SR. and he was always kind and returned the gesture. RIP sir and fly high with the angels...jenny/ashlee hartsock
