Hugh Earhart Obituary

EARHART, Hugh Ridings Passed away to join his beloved Jesus on Aug. 15, 2018 at age 94. Born on March 18, 1924 to Alson & Della Earhart in Middletown, Ohio, the youngest brother of David and Edwin. He served in Army Signal Corp in WWII in South Pacific. He worked in Dayton, OH, at Specialty Papers, met and married wife Margie and raised her 3 adolescent children. His wife suffered a brain hemorrhage and was confined to a wheelchair for years; during which time Hugh was her sole caretaker. Several years after her death, Hugh met church member, Betty Cundiff, who became his best friend and companion for nearly 25 years. In Hugh's declining years, only Betty was instrumental in getting Hugh the medical and home assistance he needed. Hugh was a member of Masonic Lodge, Middletown and a former member of First Baptist Church, Kettering. Hugh is survived by his niece, Donna Earhart of Sarasota, FL, her two daughters Sue & Karen, and his beloved companion, Betty. Tobias Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
