My family will forever owe a debt of gratitude to Pastor Jimmy Dobbs. We will ever remember him because he carried the light of the gospel into our lives. I do not know if we would have known the Lord if he had not obeyed God and responded to the call to preach the gospel. Thanks go out to all this family for all the sacrifices made by each one of you. May God comfort you now. We will ever carry his legacy to others. He left behind many who will reach many others for Jesus. He will be missed but I know he is happy there with Jesus!! God Bless~

We are a Tennessee family who will make heaven because of Pastor Jimmie Dobbs. God brought us to Paxon Revival Center Church in February, 1983, and during the following year, God used Pastor Jimmie to give us a crash course in FAITH. When the year was up, God spoke to my husband, Leslie, and instructed him to take his family back to Tennessee; He had a work for us to do there. So with many tears, and much sadness, we returned to Tennessee, obedient to God. We are still trying to obey God, and we are presently involved in Bethel Family Worship Center in Lafayette, Tn. We are helping to feed the hungry; reaching out in every way we can to a lost & dying world. I said all this so everyone could know that Pastor Jimmie Dobbs sowed good seed in good ground, and no one could possibly grasp the magnitude of his harvest this side of eternity. It is our great honor to be mentored for that year by one of God's greatest prophets. Our condolences to all his family and his church family, and to all who loved him, and we rejoice with you because he has attained the prize that we are all striving for. God bless and keep you all.

Cecil & I deeply regret the loss of Pastor Dobbs. We also greatly Celebrate with you, his family, the fact that he is rejoicing in Heaven with Jesus.
Pastor Jimmie took his profession and calling very seriously because he knew he was dealing with the eternal souls of those he knew would spend an eternity in Heaven or Hell. His life demonstrated the message that would point one to Heaven if they would only watch and listen. His life exemplified the character of our Heavenly Father as he watched for our souls as a Pastor. God called him to be a Spokesman, a Minister of the Gospel, to represent Him before his congregation and community. Thank you, Pastor Jimmie for inspiring your congregation through the Word, your love and prayers over the years. A Dear Soldier & Warrior who fought earth's battle with honor! For you, "It is Finished"! For us, we continue to "fight" for the "right" to carry the Cross until we, too, join our Lord & Savior in Heaven.

Bro Dobbs , I dont know if you really realize what a priceless influence you have been on my life over the past 43 yrs. You were more than a Pastor, you have been a friend, a father figure, a Light to me and my family and you showed me the love of Jesus, and that no matter what I am loved by God. No one will ever take your place. I love you more than words can say, I know you are home and we will see you again. The faith you preached about will forever be in my heart and I can hear God say well done my good and faithful servant thru out heaven. I will never forget you !!

June 6, 2011

I met Bro. Dobbs (thats what I called him then, so don't plan on changing now)in the Bahamas when I was 16 years old. My Dad pastored an AG Church over there and he met Bro. Dobbs through a mutual friend. Little did I know that 6 years later I would marry his beautiful daughter Becky and we just celebrated our 36 Aniversary which was actually on the day he passed away. I was his minister of music for 23 years and over the last year just about everytime I went to see him we would talk about the good old days especially back in the early 80's. It was nothing for revivals to last 3 to five weeks. I went with him to many hospitals to pray for the sick and also played for many funerals. It was an honor to serve under him - he was like a father to me and he treated me just like a son. Thank you Pops for giving me the best friend that I love dearly and I promise you I will take care of her until we can be together again with you and Mom in Heaven. Your favourite song that you liked whenever I sang it was "I want us to be together in Heven" - you've made it - now we wait our turn.

Dad, I am so proud of you. And the work you have done. You were a Man who stood up and was Not Ashamed of the Gospel. I Love you and it will not be the same without you here at home with us. It was more than a honor to have help take care of you, the short time I did. I miss you calling my name at night. But, I am so happy that you are with mama in Heaven. I am at peace, knowing your work here is done. And the lives that you reached. Proud to be your daughter. You were *Truely A OLD TIME PREACHER MAN*

I was saddened when Aunt Jewell called to tell me of the passing of Jimmy, and yet, I rejoice that he is with the Lord Jesus, whom he loved dearly and with all our family that have gone before him, especially Joyce. God blessed our family with him for many years and he was our rock more than once when we saw other family members pass on and he preached the funeral of so many. On behalf of my sister, Margaret, and our brother Bennie, we send our love and prayers that God will wrap each of you in his arms of love and comfort in the days and weeks to come. God bless you all. To Pastor, the father of the Paxon Church. I am forever thankful to everything you have done for me. Although it may seem weird hearing this from someone who recently turned 17 but you were preaching to my Grandmother and great grandmother back when my own father was 3 years old. My aunt once ran your youth service, and my family has forever been a part of paxon. The teaching god gave you were preached into my grandmother and then to my father and then into me. For what it is worth Pastor I would not be the person I am today without you and I am forever thankful for that. Your efforts and love for everyone has kept me drug-free, and I know that their is a single God who has a son that died for us. I wish I could have gotten a chance to know you better and learn more from you personally but I'll get my time with you one day. You are forever in my memories and the Burch Family memories. We love you and all of your family.

I love Pastor Jimmie, and all of the Dobbs family. I was raised in his church as a little girl, but I got away from the Lord as a teenager, then I came back to Him at 21 yrs old and starting coming back to friday morning miracle services. It is hard to find words to say what a blessing he has been and how he has influenced my walk with God.I so love and appreciate Pastor dobbs for his ministering to me in sincerety and love. He truly and sincerely loved people. I want to be like Him in that way. He prophesied singing over me and the last words he said to me was "keep singing" He married his grandson and I in 2004. He said "I welded you together" He would say "I ain't got no cabin, I got a mansion" I'm thankful that he taught me that this place is not our home. What a life God gave us, he will be missed and never forgoten, and I will see him when I get there.

Dear Dobbs Family-

Our prayers are with you.

Pastor Dobbs was truly a man of god and will be greatly missed. Pastor Dobbs married Richie and I in 1992. He was always there for us. It did not matter what time of the day or night, he always answered his phone offering a prayer to see us through the troubled times. As he served our Lord Jesus Christ, he put forth an unbelievable effort for everyone to understand and to surrender over to GOD. There is no amount of words to describe how he has touched each and everyone of us. His legacy continues through Pastor Steve now. He is home now and rejoicing with Sister Dobbs in the streets of gold.
Thank you.
Thank you for sharing this man with us.

God Bless you

Brother Dobbs: I will forever be grateful to you for pouring into my life when I was a young man. You molded me into the man I am today by preaching faith, that with the help of God we could fight any battle and whip any devil. It has been 32 years that I was saved under your ministry, and because of you I am preaching about that same Jesus you preached about for so many years. God bless all the family.

Dear Dobbs Family,
Thank you for sharing such a special person with the world.

Pastor Dobbs was always available to pray for you at anytime of day and/or night. When you called you knew that he would answer the phone and have a prayer that came from his soul that could and would touch the heart of God. I not only received prayer from Pastor Dobbs; my husband and I were married by Pastor Dobbs 21 years ago and to GOD BE ALL THE GLORY we are still married.

I saw Pastor Dobbs last year at the Legends Appreciation and told him "Thank You for his prayers throughout the years and I also shared with him that he married my husband and I and that we are still together. He asked me to make sure that I shared this with the church; however, I did not have the opportunity to do so; but, I will keep my promise to Pastor Dobbs by doing so now. Pastor will always be a part of our family..Well done thy good and faithful servant!

God Bless You and your family.

I was not a member of Pastor Dobbs church but admire his service to the Lord. He started a small church and helped it grow to be an important part of our community. Never once did I hear of any word of scandal and that is saying something in our current times. He is an inspiration to all believers!

I went to elementary and middle school with Abigail. I know the pain of loosing a loved one and it brings comfort to know you will see that loved one in Heaven again. I can see Bro Dobbs preaching in that Home we all long to be in real soon. Love and Prayers Karen Allen Byrd

To Pastor Jimmy Dobbs Family

Thank you for everything you did for me brother Dobbs, each time you stood in the gap. Those special times you ran to the back door and gave me that huge hug and that sweet smile you had no problem in sharing with each and everyone that came to church. Thank you for your direction, the countless hours you and mother Dobbs prayed for me and my families. You will be missing by me.
