James Dodd Obituary
Jamey was the manager at Baker Tire Company. He was an Instrument Rated Twin Engine Pilot. Jamey was an avid horseman, cattle farmer, loved deep sea fishing, NASCAR and was a huge Alabama football fan. His children were the love of his life. Jamey was preceded in death by his grandparents J.R. and Etheland Dodd.
Survivors: parents, James and Paula Dodd; grandparents, Paul and Vangie Baker; daughter, Grace Rose Dodd; son, James Paul Dodd Jr.;
sister, Laura Dodd; aunts, Sue Walker, Anna Robinson, Renee Chambers; uncles, Perry Michael Dodd, William Jacob Dodd; host of cousins
Pallbearers: Ken Walker, Daniel Cameron, Joe Downs, Kyle Chambers, Mike Dodd and Brett Dodd.
Special thanks to the Sand Valley Fire and Rescue, nurses and staff at Riverview ER and Kevin Jackson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 this evening at Morgan Funeral Chapel.

Dear Family, you probably do not know me but Jamey did. I wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss and that our community will not be the same. Jamey was a solid man who will be missed greatly. He was very proud of his sis who we talked about just about every time we spoke. I was always touched by his humble spirit.

I hope the words of a famous aviator will bring you peace in knowing that Jamey has "...slipped the surly bonds of Earth, and...trod the high, un-tresspassed sanctity of space...put out his hand, and touched the face of God."
Jamey will certainly be missed around the airport! He stopped by my hangar a few weeks ago and chatted with me, as he often did when he'd see me there. I'lll miss our chats, and his familiar face. Jamey was not only a skilled aviator, but a good man who I was fortunate to know. Your family will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
