Family-Placed Obituary

James Russell Wilson, 36, of Cedar Park, died peacefully at home on Saturday, October 2, 2004 after a year-long struggle with colon cancer. Born in Kimpese, Congo, on October 27, 1967, Jim lived most of his childhood in Havre, Montana. Jim was a software engineer for JJT Boston, Inc. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Montana State University in Boseman. Jim was an active member at Hill Country Bible Church NW, where he served in various ministries over the past four years and was active in a small group. Jim was intelligent, with a quick wit, honorable and strong. He was a loving and devoted husband. He enjoyed computers, reading, music, movies, and outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and camping. One of his favorite outdoor spots was Glacier National Park where he worked some as a teen. He is preceded in death by his father, Willard Wilson, and his brother, Doug Wilson. Jim is survived by his wife, Terri Wilson, his mother and step-father, Joan and Harry Hayes of Tulsa, brother, Randy Wilson and his wife Renata of Portland, OR, and sisters, Dorijean Wilson of Ventura, CA, and Theressa and her husband, Rodney Wilborn of Tulsa, OK, and nieces, Rhechel and Petra, and nephew, Ben. The family thanks Odyssey Healthcare Hospice for their care and support in Jim's final days, and Hill Country Bible Church NW for days and weeks of love, support, and care of Jim, Terri and their families. A service celebrating Jim's life will be held at 12:00pm, Wednesday, October 6, 2004, at Hill Country Bible Church NW, with a reception following. Memorial donations may be made through Austin Telco Federal Credit Union or to Odyssey Healthcare at 14205 Burnet Road, Ste. 400, Austin, Texas 78728.
