Janet E. Bryson, 84, of Springfield, PA passed away on January 4, 2025.
Janet was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Keating, born in Queens, NY. She graduated from Bayside High School and earned a teaching certificate and paralegal certificate. Janet was a nurturing Montessori school teacher, then later enjoyed working as a paralegal.
Janet loved spending time with her family and was a dedicated, caring, and loving mother to her children and grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Collenbrook United Church and sang in the choir. She enjoyed folk music and was an active part of Fortissimo and member of the Philadelphia Folk Song Society. Janet enjoyed sailing and all of the great friends made through the Wilmington Power Squadron. She enjoyed family vacations at Cape May, camping, cross-country skiing, birdwatching, and many other outdoor adventures.
Janet is survived by her children John Bryson and his wife Chyun-Huey, Jennifer Wychock and her husband John, James Bryson and his wife Mary, and cherished grandchildren Frances, Kimmy, Josh, Gordon, Eddie, Raymond, and Michelle. She is predeceased by her husband of 63 years John Bryson, and her brother William Keating.
Services: Friends and family are invited to her viewing from noon to 1 pm Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem. A funeral service will follow at 1 pm. The interment will conclude at Nisky Hill Cemetery, Bethlehem. Online condolences may be offered at www.connellfuneral.com .
