You were an example of a what a great friend, what a brother should be. I will always cherish our friendship and will always retell your story and build your legacy. So many things that God has done in my life have reminded me of you in so many ways and I have been able to share your story, our friendship and brotherhood. I have a son who has your name as his middle name. I have a son who shares your birthday. Your heroic sacrifice is remembered and celebrated often in our home. My kids know what it looks like to be a hero because of you. I miss you like crazy my man and count it a privilege and blessing to have lived life with you.

Happy Halloween to my favorite guy in the world! We had the best times trick or treating. You would come home from school and "bug" me until it got dark and we made the rounds up and down the biggest hills! We would be out for hours. Two pillow cases and plastic pumpkins filled with candy! Then we would go home have a hot chocolate and you would count every single piece of candy :) pick out your favorite ones and give me the ones you didn't want. You were so funny Jared! I miss you with all my heart. I cherish the memories I had with you. Like I always say......it was an "honor" to be your mother. I love you to the moon and back. Happy Halloween in Heaven my son.
