Though I haven't seen my cousin Jeff for many, many years, I can picture him at Lake Beseck and remember how much fun it was to be there with the family. Aunt Florence was always so proud of him and Gary and Bruce, and we got the complete family updates when we would see her and Uncle Frank in Florida. I was so happy to read about his charter fishing business and that his dream had come true and that he had years to enjoy it after years of looking forward to it while doing other meaningful and significant work as well. My mother and Aunt Florence and Aunt Bea and Aunt June have always said how wonderful Penny is and I know, too, from that same grapevine how much he loved her and his children and his whole family. May God bless and keep you all. With love and sympathy, Donna.

Over the past several months, Jeff has been in the thoughts and prayers of his co-workers, and more importantly, his true friends at CONNSTEP. We all share in the wonderful moments when we worked along side him, exchanging stories of "family and life" and were a part of his vision for the future. We will miss Jeff and his ever smiling face. CONNSTEP was so very, very fortunate to have our friend Jeff as a member of our team.

To the Dobratz Family, Nothing makes you regret the passing of time quite so much the death of someone you wish you had known. Jeff & I were distant cousins (my father, Robert Dobratz, was Sarge's cousin) and I attended the family reunion several years ago in Cheshire. Please accept my sympathy at a most difficult time for you.
The actress Emma Thompson said of her mother..."She taught me that even in grief we have to live each day as it comes. She insisted that if you get up each morning, have a nice breakfast, go for a walk, see your friends, have a laugh at what amuses you, then the clouds will finally pass."

On behalf of the entire Connecticut Charter Party Boat Association please accept our condolences. I personally only knew Jeff a brief time of a couple of years. In that time he showed he was a fine person as well as a fine fellow captain.

I worked with Jeff for many years at P&WA. I have not seen Jeff since I left in 1982 but have many fond memories of working together on several projects. He was responsible for getting me into jogging and even bought me my first pair of running shoes. I have thought of him often over the years and will cherish those good memories of many years ago. I know he will be dearly missed by many people whose lives have all been touched and made a little better by having known him.
