Mitchell Edward Leppert, affectionately known as Mitch, was born on August 26, 1955 in Ohio. He passed away on October 9, 2025 leaving a legacy of love and laughter behind.
Mitch was a proud Marine veteran, embodying the values of dedication and service. He was not only known for his military service but also for his vibrant personality. He was funny, kind, generous, and always ready with a quick wit and a heartfelt laugh. His family will remember him as a devoted husband to Patricia Lillian Leppert, with whom he shared a deep and loving marriage. Mitch cherished their life together, taking immense pride in being married to Tricia.
In addition to his role as a husband, Mitch was a loving and attentive father to his children: Colton, Maya and Emma. He found great joy in being a grandfather to Kieran Buening, often glowing with pride at family gatherings. His love and devotion extended to his dog Gus, his constant companion.
Mitch had a passion for nature and bird watching, often spending time outdoors and appreciating the beauty around him. He enjoyed his handy work around the house and always found satisfaction in completing projects. Furthermore, he valued spending moments with his family, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
He is survived by his loving wife Patricia; brothers Jeff Leppert and Christian Leppert; sisters Monica Shoemacher and Jacqueline (Nick) Leppert; nephew Nick (Kayla) Leppert; children Colton Buening, Maya (Steve) Buening and Emma (Elgin) Buening; and grandson Kieran Buening.
Mitch is preceded in death by his father Edward Leppert, mother Nicole Riviere, and sister Cindy Riviere. His spirit and humor will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
