John Anderson Obituary

John P. Anderson, 95 passed away at the VA Hospital in Tucson Arizona on November 16, 2012. He was born on July 19, 1917 in Philadelphia, PA.

John served in the U.S. Army in WWII receiving a Purple Heart and Bronze Star at Anzio Beach. He lived in Lakewood, CA and there he was the Acting Postmaster of the Lakewood post office. He later moved to Medford, OR in 1962. He worked at Sears for 21 years before retiring. In Medford he served as the president of the Jackson County Fair Board, president of the Arabian Horse Association of Oregon and past president of the ½ Arabian Horse Association of Rogue Valley Southern Oregon.

John is survived by his wife, Patti; daughters, Sherry Honza (Brett) and Melody Biley; grandson, Adam Biley and Step-daughters, Rene Kesgard (Pat) and Joanne Anderson; 4 step grandchildren.

John will be interned in the Veterans Cemetery in Eagle Point OR. In lieu of flowers donation can be made in his name to the Humane Society or D.A.V.
