John Lukemire Obituary

LUKEMIRE, JOHN WADE, 45, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at University of Louisville Hospital. He was born in New Bern, NC in May of 1968 and was the beloved son of Nancy and Lewis Lukemire. The family moved to Louisville in 1970 and he has lived here since.

He graduated from Waggener High School and served in the United States Navy for three years and later married Shaunna Stier. Together, they have one beloved daughter, Lily Lee Lukemire who is a senior at Male High School.

John was employed by Dayton Freight Lines.

Survivors include his loving daughter, Lily; former wife, Shaunna Lukemire; mother, Nancy S. Galbraith; father and stepmother, Lewis and Shirley J. Lukemire; sister, Lisa Miller (Jerry) of Elizabethtown; sister, Nancy E. Corbett (Dan) of Trenton, OH and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Cremation was selected at John's request. A private memorial service will be conducted for family at a later date. Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village is entrusted with the arrangements.
