I just want all the family to know what an impact John had on my life. His was always the fun house in the neighborhood to go and play at when I was young and close friends with his son David. He always took the time to throw the football around with us when he came home from work. He was the one who carried me to the hospital when I broke my arm at David's birthday party and he was the one who cared enough to become the Webelowos scout leader when I was that age. He was always the fun dad, quick with a joke or a Vietnam War story. I respected him on many fronts but I learned in later life that his service in the Marine Corps should have been a big reason for that respect. We lost contact over the years but I always tried to look him up whenever I had business at the couthouse. I am sure he wondered why I had so much business at the courthouse but I hope he understood that my job took me there most of the time and jury duty the rest. I just wanted to share a few thoughts about a great man who I admired and can only hope to immulate. Dave if you see this, send me an email at [email protected]. I would love to hear from you.
