It is with great sorrow that we announce that Jon Rydiger (64) passed away September 10th 2025 in Denver Colorado. Born in Minneapolis Minnesota 8/11/1961 to Larry & Elaine. Preceded in Death by Larry & Elaine.
Survived by Life Partner Kimberly Perkins, Sister Susie, Brother Bob. Nieces Kerry & Amanda. Stephanie & Geoff Preston. Grandfather to William. Also survived by life best friend Steve Martin & wife Jan, as well as many others.
He fought courageously against pancreatic cancer for 2 years. He lost that fight, but has gone on to be a Guardian Angel to us all. Jon will be missed but never forgotten living in our minds and hearts.
Jon Graduated from Cherry Creek High School. He went on to receive an Associates of Arts degree from Arapahoe Community College and followed up by earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Regis University.
While having very prestigious employment in the past, he most recently worked for Terumo BCT from 2006-2018 as a Software Quality Analyst and Paragon 28 from 2020-2025 as a Software Validation Quality Engineer.
Jon was an avid skier. He started in the kid’s nursery at Vail at the age of 3 and was on the slopes soon after. Jon’s father, Larry, was on the National Ski Patrol at Vail starting in 1964, so weekends and holidays were spent in Vail for many years. It was the family that spent weekdays in Denver and Friday night or early Saturday morning we would head to Vail before I-70 was a thought.
He skied mainly in Vail for 20 years followed by 40+ years at Mary Jane with his devoted ski buddies. Brother Bob would sometimes get in the action as well when he could be with him from his Ski Patrol job at Purgatory in Durango.
Summers were spent golfing with Kim, Bob, friends. He & Kim would travel, and he was a Certified Scuba Diver. Jon & his sister were attached at the hip in happiness and sorrow. They always counted on each other to love, argue, tease & just goof on each other.
“It’s better to go skiing and think of God than going to church and think of skiing.”
Fridtjof Nansen, Norwegian Explorer.
