Joseph Bartolotta Obituary

Bartolotta, Joseph Paul
Joseph Paul Bartolotta, 52 of Leland, and formerly of Cromwell, Connecticut died unexpectedly on December 19, 2017.
He was the son of the late Sebastian and Patricia Martin Bartolotta of Cromwell. Joseph is survived by his sons, Nicholas Bartolotta of Leland NC, and Nathan Bartolotta of Middletown, a daughter Arden Tomassetti of Westbrook, three brothers, Michael Bartolotta and Jeanine, Steven Bartolotta and Lisa, James Bartolotta and Nancy, two sisters, Susan Bartolotta Philipchik and Donald, and Elizabeth Bartolotta Marchinkoski and David, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Joseph took after his father with his passion for wood-working and would often make unique pieces for his friends and family. He also had a love of food and turned cooking into his lifelong profession, working as a chef in several local restaurants. He enjoyed being outdoors with his bike, his frisbee, and his beloved dogs. Joseph lived life to its fullest and loved meeting new people. He was a great storyteller and would draw you in by reciting a joke or telling a tale of his most recent adventure. He will always be remembered for his big smiles and warm hugs. Most importantly, he loved his family and his memory will live on in our hearts forever.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Elks Club, Middletown, CT. Online condolences may be made at www.peacocknewnamwhite.com.

I just read this sad news of Joe passing away. My family and I are in shock but so thankful that we were a part of his life with Vicki and Nick. We lived in the same neighborhood for many years. Joe would take his son and my son to play Frisbee Golf and other activities. They always had such a great time. Joe also loved his dog and pets very much. Sheba & Daisy ... Our thoughts and prayers are with Nick , Vicki, and all other family members and friends...

My condolences to the Bartolotta family. Words cannot express the sadness I feel. Joseph and I spent a lot of time together before he moved south and I would see him every time he came home. Many of the stories that have shaped my life include 'Joe Bot' and all of them bring a smile to my face if not out loud laughs. I would not trade those memories for anything. I can only imagine how many people would say the same thing. I loved Joe like a brother, I will miss him.
