GREENVILLE -- Joyce A. (Arnett) Miller went to meet her Lord and Savior at 6:42 PM Wednesday July 2, 2025, at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Bernice (Stout) Arnett.
Joyce was a graduate of Jackson High School, class of 1953 and attended Fort Wayne Bible School. She was a member of the Greenville Christian & Missionary Alliance Church since 1956.
Joyce is survived by her beloved husband Rev. Lowell E. Miller. They were married August 29,1959 and have three children: daughter Darolyn (Mark) Peterson, sons Eugene (Gail) Miller and Joel (Sallie) Miller, six grandchildren: Caleb Peterson, Tyler (Emily) Peterson, Jennifer (Matthew) Polley, Amy (T.J.) Shockley, Matthew Nash and Bradley (Samantha) Nash as well as 13 great grandchildren.
Joyce, as a pastor's wife, was always very active in her husband's ministry, even with working outside the home and raising their family. Since her husband was blind all their married life, Joyce was his chauffeur whenever he needed to go on a call: hospital, home or wherever he was needed! She was always loved and greatly appreciated in every congregation as she served beside her husband as the church pianist. Wherever her pastor-husband was moved, it seemed as though God had a job waiting for her. She served as a telephone operator, bank teller, secretary, receptionist and finished her working career as a chiropractic assistant with Johnston Chiropractic for over fourteen years.
In addition to all of this, she was a wonderful mother and a great cook. She indeed was a very special person, and this was confirmed by all who knew her. She will be sorely missed!
Funeral Services for Joyce will be 2:00 PM Tuesday July 8, 2025, at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church 306 Devor Street Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Dave Purdy officiating. Burial will follow in Harris Creek Cemetery Bradford, Ohio. The family will receive friends on Tuesday July 8, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the church.
It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to the Greenville Christian & Missionary Alliance Church.
