Kathryn Marie Culpepper Root, born January 25, 1922 to Zenas and Mamie Culpepper in Crystal City Texas, passed away July 25, 2014. She is survived by her husband William Dewitt Root of 57 years. Daughter: Jennifer Matsuda; sons: David Root and wife Jeanine, William Joseph Root and wife Windy, Byron Howell; Sister Mary Lee Pieratt; 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Forest Park Lawndale from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Forest Park Lawndale Family Chapel at 10:00 am, on Friday, August 1, 2014. Interment to follow at Forest Park Cemetery.
