I met Kyle while working at Toys Customer Service in 1999. He was my coworker there through June 2021, when I was laid off. He was entertaining, funny, intelligent, and had an awesome speaking voice. I learned he had portrayed a character on CBS' daytime drama, The Bold & the Beautiful. Considering his voice, I once suggested to him in low calming tones, 'This has been Kyle Kulish, for The Price is Right, a Mark Goodson production. He smiled at that and responded, "Oh, I'd LOVE that job!" I'm sure he would have, indeed. Sorry to get here so late.

I worked with Kyle at United Press International in Montgomery, Ala. He was a skilled journalist and quick-witted and provided me with tips that I still use in journalism today. I was sorry to have lost touch with Kyle over the years, but I didn't really. I would try to keep tabs on him because I admired his courage to leave journalism and take on a new career. Thanks Kyle!

As I sit here on Christmas, I quietly think about my brother Kyle who passed away 3 weeks ago. He was such a smart, creative, talented, person who was also my very best friend. I miss his laughs, puns and positive attitude on life. My brother lived an amazing full life as a journalist, writer, actor and teacher. He was always there for me in good times and bad. I could always count on him to listen and encourage me throughout my life. He left an amazing legacy, especially through the students he taught. Last week's memorial at his school with over 500 people in attendance and another at a local theater were he performed, showed what a great friend, educator and actor he was. I realized for the first time my brother shared so much of the same wonderful qualities I cherished my whole life, with so many others. He truly made this world a better place. Rest in peace Brother.

Mr. Kulish - You led our kids through Europe and showed them the land through your eyes. It was an experience like no other and we are all truly thankful to you for giving them a once in a lifetime experience, one they would have never experienced without you. You will always be in our hearts and we will never forget your kindheartedness and generosity. As the mom, I knew you for a short time but for that short time, you made a huge impact on my life and I am sure the lives of many others.

Thoughts and prayers to Kyle's family. Kyle and I were roommates in Orlando in 1989 and 1990 when we both worked at the Sentinel. Larger than life is a perfect description. He had the acting bug when I knew him and often took stage at several improv theaters in Central Florida. He was always positive and always fun to be around. Years after we had both left Orlando, I saw him on the soap opera the Young and the Restless in a small role. RIP Kyle. Ric Russo, Palmetto, Fla.

Kyle Kulish was my teacher in 10th grade, he taught me what hard work was, and how to achieve all of my goals. I came back to him for advice time and time again throughout the years. I dated another one of his students, and he said knowing both of us, he said he knew we were a perfect couple. Me and that other student are now engaged, and I wish I had told him sooner. I had tried visiting his classroom, but I thought he had switched schools because many posters were absent from the wall. Mr. Kulish prepared me for college, and life in general. His kind heart will never be forgotten. He left a lasting impact on all of his students. We will miss you Kulish.

Thinking of Kyle this morning as I begin another day greeting my students in my English classes.
Kyle was one of the sweetest, funniest and smartest guys I have ever met.
He carried our 2005 Teaching Cohort at the University of La Verne; I may have made it through grad school without him, but definitely not as easily and with so much laughter and irony.
Kyle was the master of the twist of phrase, the bad pun, and the incisive comment, tempered by a kind heart. He loved baseball and acting and, most of all, teaching.
I imagine Kyle in heaven, verbally jousting with an all-star roster of authors, poets, playwrights and NY Mets pitchers.
He probably took a stack of essays to grade during his down time.
RIP, Kyle. Here lies one great guy.
