Larry H Wibert

Larry H. Wibert, age 88, of Cortland passed away on August 12, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 16, 1936, to the late Hallie L. and Helen C. Russells Wibert.

Larry was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family most of all. Some of his other hobbies include hunting, fishing, puzzles, traveling, western TV shows, and was an avid Lionel Train Collector. He was a member of Grace Methodist Church devoting time to the Willing Workers class activities. He was also the owner of Wibert’s Greenhouse in Southington.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandra Wibert; brothers, Paul and Donald Wibert; sisters, Deloras Grove, and Helen Diefenderfer.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn James Wibert; children, Gayle (Allison) Colbert, Melissa (Brian) Wibert, Pamela Leader, Dave (Michele) James, Jeff James, and Pat (Jennifer) James; grandchildren, Meagan Jackson, Nate (Nichole) Jackson, Patti (Bob) Plant, Ben, Zack, Emily, Nathaniel, Madison, Alexis, Jordon, Jeremy, Kaitlyn, Tesa, and Lydia James; great grandchildren, Robbie and Hannah Plant, Mia Fisher; sister, Joan Williamson as well as several in-laws and nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Lane Funeral Home, Roberts-Clark Chapel 180 Garfield Dr. NE Warren, OH 44483 with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM. Entombment will be in Crown Hill Burial Park.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Grace Methodist Church Food Pantry, Bazetta Fire Department, or Southern Care Hospice.
