March 7th, 1941 - January 29th, 2017
Lifelong Hilmar resident Lary Eyre passed away Sunday, the 29th of January, at the age of 75. He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer & Lelah Eyre, sister: Donis Wickliffe, brothers: Stanley, Gene & Gary Eyre, and beloved daughter Susan Eyre.
Lary is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Niecy Eyre, his children: Lary Eyre Jr of Petaluma, Sheri Carlson & husband Jeff Carlson of Turlock, and Russell Eyre of Rohnert Park; his seven grandchildren: Lary Eyre III, Josh Carlson, Julia Carlson, James Carlson, Joel Carlson, Amber Eyre & Jake Eyre; and his great-grandson: Rowan Carlson.
Lary will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, fun grandpa, and friend to many. He was a hardworking man who put his family above all else. He enjoyed Saturday breakfasts with "the guys" from Banquet Frozen Foods (a former 25 year employee), and celebrated the benefits of retirement in 2003 with trips to Cabo, later family vacations in Alaska, and as many family dinners as possible.
His family is planning a private burial for Lary, but does welcome guests to a Celebration of Life which will be held on:
Friday, February 10th, 11:00am, at the Connecting Point Nazarene Church: 3200 E. Monte Vista Ave, Denair, CA 95316.
"We are at peace knowing Lary is now in heaven with our Lord & Savior, reunited with his family and daughter. Send Susie our love. We miss you already."
