Donald “Don” Gerard Eyre, age 55, of Westport, Wisconsin, passed away on December 10, 2025, at UW Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Don was born on April 18, 1970, in Madison, Wisconsin, to Dianne and Dermot Eyre. He grew up in Waunakee and graduated from Waunakee High School in 1988. He later earned his Associate Degree from Madison Area Technical College.
Don was a skilled Master Auto Technician. After many years in the trade, he was very proud to open his own shop, Eyre’s Garage. Even when not at work, Don enjoyed working on projects—whether it was his Mustang or his boat. Depending on the season, you could find Don on the snowmobile trail, out on the water, or outside grilling. He also enjoyed spending time visiting with friends and family, often at the American Legion Post 481.
Don is survived by his girlfriend, Jodi Biser; his children, Mark (Quynn) Eyre, Katlin (Garrett) Vieth, and Kelsey (Brant) Attleson; his grandson, William Attleson; his father, Dermot Eyre; and his siblings, Dan (Dawn) Eyre, Mike (Jamie) Eyre, Jennifer (Justin) Haggard, and Kristin (Paul) Ramirez, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dianne Eyre.
Family and friends are invited to join us for a Celebration of Life at the American Legion Post 481, 5337 River Rd Westport on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 2:00 to 6:00p.m.
Memorials may be made to Don’s children: Mark, Katlin, or Kelsey.
Don will be deeply missed by many.
