Deborah Dean Ream, 77, of Elkton, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Debbie was born July 9, 1948, in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and was the daughter of the late Randal Rudolph and Marguerite Morris Dean.
Debbie was a graduate of Elkton High School and Madison College. After graduating from Madison College, she took a position at Triplett Tech teaching business. Debbie began working in the family business, Dean Lumber Company, and then later owned and operated Ace Dean Home Center in Elkton. She was an avid quilter; she enjoyed playing the piano and organ and teaching others to play, interacting with others, and spending time with her family. Debbie was also a Sunday School teacher and children's choir director. Most importantly, she was a follower of Christ and a dedicated member of Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
Surviving is her husband of 54 years, Barry Ream.
Also surviving are her son, Jeremy Ream, and wife, Dana; daughter, Julie Dinkel, and husband, Scott; brother Robin Dean and wife, Phyllis; sisters Sharon Hardy, Nancy (Ginger) Sease and husband, John, Rhonda Meredith, and Patricia Baugher and husband, Craig; grandchildren Reagan Breeden and husband, Trenton; Riley Ream and wife, Yvonne; Kaylee Ferro and husband, Vincent; Benjamin Dinkel; and Loren Dinkel, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Rich Hardy.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m., Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Elkton with Pastor Adam Snow officiating. Interment will be private at Elk Run Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Elkton, 2580 Panorama Drive, Elkton, Virginia 22827.
