Ralph Pleasant Kiser

Ralph Pleasant Kiser, 97, formerly of Port Republic, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Sunnyside Retirement Community in Harrisonburg.
Mr. Kiser was born October 12, 1928, in Harrisonburg and was the son of the late Oliver A. and Virginia Adams Kiser.
Ralph was a graduate of Harrisonburg High School where he played football and basketball. He went on to serve our country in the United States Air Force. Ralph attended Shenandoah College, Harrisonburg Business College, and graduated with a BS degree in business from Madison College. Following many years as an accountant, he retired from Shank Beverage Company. He was a member of Mt. Olive Brethren Church in Pineville.
On June 2, 1962, he married Ruth Naomi Zirkle, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Ralph Edward Kiser (Constance) of Dayton; two daughters, Pamela Campbell (Jeff) of Rockingham, and Kathleen Kiser of Harrisonburg; a sister, Jo Ann Kiser; five grandchildren, Christina Campbell, Joshua Campbell (Brook), Jonathan Campbell, Christopher Campbell, Seth Kiser (Haley); a great-grandson, Colsen Kiser and three nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Frances Neff.
A graveside service will be conducted 1 p.m., Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Zirkle Cemetery in New Market, with The Reverend Dr. Fred Miller officiating.
