Lucy A. Groves

Circleville Lucy A. Groves, 94, of Circleville, passed away on November 12, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born on November 14, 1928 in Altoona, PA to the late Nicolino and Clementina (Cartila) Tedeschi. She retired as a civilian employee from Lockbourne Air Force Base. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, second mother, Anna Tedeschi; husband, James L. Groves; siblings, Frank Tedeschi, Olivia Cox, Sylvia Ventresca, and Mario Lusignolo; and numerous cats and dogs. She is survived by her daughters, Tina (Mike) Swope, Sally (Pete) VanHooser, Tammy (Jeff) Plotts, and son, Jim Groves; grandchildren, Kiersten, Petey, and Curt VanHooser; Angela Smith, and Amanda Tucker; 6 great grandchildren, and many other friends and family. Per her wishes no public services will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Defenbaugh Wise Schoedinger Funeral Home.
