MARILYN JOANNE FORST Age 86, of Hemet, CA, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019. She was born on May 4, 1932 in Whittier, CA to William H. and Naomi Jones. She attended Whittier Elementary School, Whittier High School and Whittier College. She then began her 36 year teaching career. Marilyn married Herbert C. Forst, Jr. in 1954. They lived several places in the first years of their marriage before settling in Hemet in 1963. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Herb; daughters Teri Moffatt (Jim) of Redlands, Anita Brudin (Matt) of Redlands, & Andy Forst (Heather) of Hemet. She was especially proud of her 8 grandchildren, Darron, Steven and Travis Moffatt, Craig and Trent Brudin, and Jensen, Daize and Kane Forst. She is also survived by, sister Carolyn King of Seal Beach and brother Monte Wolf of Atlanta. After Marilyn retired from teaching she served on the governing board of Hemet Unified School District for 16 years. She also opened and operated the Red Rabbit Boutique in Hemet for 20 years. Arrangements are being handled by Miller-Jones Mortuary & Crematory - Hemet, 1501 West Florida Ave, Hemet, CA. Celebration of life will be on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Miller-Jones Mortuary Hemet Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a memorial contribution in her name to Hemet Education Foundation Scholarship Fund or Ramona Animal Haven in San Jacinto.
