Mary Margaret (Sieland) Nast, age 76 of Oakdale, formerly of Cottage Grove passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Memorial Service will be 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 16th at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St S.; Cottage Grove, MN. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. prior to the service with a luncheon to follow.
Mary and Tom were high school sweethearts at Harding High School and from the East Side of St. Paul, she was a proud “East Sider”. They raised their family in Cottage Grove. She loved being with her family, celebrating holiday’s together, family dinners, spending time with her girlfriends and the East Side Gang. She loved spending time at the lake and cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events. Mary will be deeply missed.
Mary will forever be remembered by Tom, her best friend and husband of 57 years; her daughters Trisha (Mike) Turitto and Sara (Adam) Palodichuk, and son Tom (Kelley) Nast; six grandchildren Emily, Mary, Jake, Joe, Brooke and Caroline; and her sister, Pat (Allen) Hernes. She was preceded in death by her parents Bernhard and Margaret Sieland.
