John Nast Obituary

He was born May 21, 1950, in Fond du Lac, WI, the son of Harvey and Delores Weeks Nast. He was a graduate of Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac.
John worked for the Soo Line Railroad company for 23 years, working his way up to switchman before retiring. He was a member of the Masters Motorcycle Club of Ripon. John liked to go traveling, to watch and enjoy nature, as well as all his many pets over the years.
He is survived by his life partner, of 52 years, Wendy Barndt; one daughter, Andrea Vineyard; two granddaughters, Emily and Megan Vineyard; one great-granddaughter, Amelia Haymans; one sister, Jennifer (Kevin) Draves; nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Nast; and sister, Sheila Anderson.
A Celebration of John's life for family and friends will be at a later date. A special thank you to the amazing EMTs, and to friends and neighbors Paul and Sharon Westphal, whose love and care was exceptional.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola-Hempel Funeral Chapel in Poy Sippi. Anyone wishing to send a sympathy card to the family, please mail to John Nast, c/o Barbola -Hempel Funeral Chapel, PO Box 201, Poy Sippi, WI 54967.

When John first came to school, I thought he could have been a Beatle. Also remember when he took me for a cycle ride down Hwy 41...at night. After bar time at the Hippo. Sad to hear, fond memories of John.
