Michele Audette Obituary

Griswold - Michele (Lubszewicz) Audette, 61, passed away March 3, 2024, at home. She was born in Norwich, Nov. 12, 1962, to the late Stanley Lubszewicz and the late Jennie (Zaiewski) Lubszewicz.

Michele grew up in Montville and graduated from Montville High School. Michele married Andre Audette Sept. 16, 1989, at St. John Church in Montville. She retired from the State of Connecticut. She was a longtime employee who worked with the disabled. She loved her job as a caregiver to all in need at work and off work.

Michele was predeceased by her husband Andre Audette; and a nephew Tim Rader. She leaves behind her son Nicholas Audette of Griswold; daughter Ariel Audette; and partner Alec Gabriel of New London; god-daughter Brittany Krone of Griswold, who was like a daughter to her; three sisters, Cynthia (Lubszewicz), husband David Ackles (deceased), Sharon (Lubszewicz) Krone, both of Montville, and Sandra Rader and her husband Roger of South Carolina. She is also survived by a nephew, Michael Rader of Texas; a niece, Heidi Rader, of South Carolina; her cousins, Steve and Sandra Probus and John Lubszewicz; and her loyal best friend Diane Drugge who was always there for her. She was like family to her. Michelle was very close to her family. She also leaves behind her brothers-in-law, Richard Audette, wife Diane, Robert Audette, wife Rose, and Mark Audette, wife Amy; her sister-in-law Susan (Audette) LaCray; and many nieces and nephews.

Michelle loved animals and the beach. She was a very generous person, fun loving, funny and outgoing. She was always the life of the party, making people laugh and have a good time. She wanted to have a party for all the people in her life. She wanted everyone to have good memories of her and not to be sad. She will be loved and remembered in our hearts forever.

There will be a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at Prime Restaurant and Bar (Lower Level), 181 West Town Street, Norwich.
