I offer my thoughts & prayers to Nancy's family & friends. I had the opportunity to work with Nancy many years ago at Southeastern Mental Authority. Most recently I was blessed to have been reunited with her while we spent 3 full days together staffing a shelter after Hurricane Sandy. She had an incredible spirit & a caring heart. She was a truly special person who will be greatly missed.

My heartfelt sympathy for Nancy's family at the loss of such a wonderful person. I had the pleasure of knowing Nancy years ago when she would come to our facility to meet with her patients. The staff learned much from her in how to effectively care for someone in psychological distress. I then had the pleasure to work with Nancy when she joined the Ledge Light Health District Medical Reserve Corps. She helped at many flu clinics, especially during the H1N1 pandemic. She showed such strength and determination not letting her illness dictate her life. It wasn't until just recently that I learned just how sick she was. She will be missed.
