I will always honor and remember Pat Browne. As a young lawyer, I tried a jury case in Federal Court that he defended. After his closing argument, I wanted to stand up and applaud. He was truly an inspiration for me and reminded me that even though as a woman, all things are possible.

I never broke 100 playing golf so its impossible to imagine how Pat played at his level.
I am told that Ashton Hardy had to face the jury when he was arguing his case facing a wall.
And how do you manage a lending institution when you cant see numbers....
Ive seen the movies, Bagger Vance and Tin Cup; but those stories cannot hold a candle to Pats.

A truly wonderful person, great husband and father. He was a Champion Golfer as well. Mr. Browne was my boss and he was a boss anyone would be proud to work for him. He was a person to admire as he never let his disability stop him from accomplishing anything he wanted to do. He was a very gentle and compassionate person. Now he is one of God's angels in Heaven. GOD Bless you Mr. Browne and your family. Both love and miss you Mr. Browne.

Pat is still missed by so many of us. His presence is felt at our tournament each April. All golfers blind and sighted should strive to perform as Pat did on the golf course and throughout their daily lives. Rest In Peace Patrick.

My very first job was as a secretary at Hibernia Homestead. I am forever indebted to Mr. Browne, and the ladies in the office, for giving me a chance, in spite of my awful typing sample. I have always been in awe of Mr. Browne and am honored to have known him. May he rest in peace.

Dear Sherry and Patrick, May our Lord be with you and give you strength in your time of need. I was truly saddened to hear of Pat's death. Joe and I met Pat through blind golf and he was truly a remarkable golfer but even more remarkable gentleman. He had a way of making us feel that we were truly an important part of his life. Pat was a true gentleman. As President of he USBGA he did more for the organization than any president before or after his tenure. Eternal Rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace.

Dear Sherry and family: I am sorry that my visit with family in Florida will prevent me from attending the funeral. I had the privilege of serving as his "eyes" at his first trial after the accident. I will forever remember the amazing event of watching him in trial practicing his profession. He will be missed by all who knew him.

I first met Pat when I was a young lawyer of 29 years. I tried a jury case in federal court against his client. He won. He was always a gentleman. Since that time, I have followed his career with admiration. He has set an example for everyone who has been dealt an obstacle, but has overcome it. I know he is in God's good care, and I hope that his memory will continue to enhance my career - as well as others.

Such a fine gentleman he was, lovely manners and such class. He was such a wonderful golfer too, he never thought that there was a course he could not play. He had such courage and yet he never bragged about it nor even mentioned it. I had the true pleasure of meeting him a few times thru golf and he was quite an inspiration to those with disabilities. He never felt sorry for himself and never wanted anyone else to either. My condolences to the family and may his spirit and determination live on thru you all. He would like that very much.

Pat was our neighbor on La Salle Place while he attended Tulane. He practiced his irons on the Loyola track, and I tried to catch the shots. I went to many Basketball games while he was playing. Used to enjoy visiting with Pat,sr., Dotty and Pat. He definitely proved that a handicap didn't define the person.RIP
