Patrick Chekal Obituary
Born in Detroit Michigan, the son of the late Fabian and Eleanor (O'Rourke) Chekal, Patrick relocated to Rhode Island following the blizzard of '78. Patrick received a Bachelor's degree in Math from Wayne State University in Michigan, a Master's degree from Providence College and a Master of Studies degree from Bryant University. He worked as an Information Systems Manager for 30 years prior to retirement.
Patrick was a member of the Barrington Citizens Scholarship Foundation as well as Briggs Beach for 30 years. He served on the Barrington Booster's Club and was a Lector at St. Luke's Church in Barrington for 10 years.
Besides his devoted wife, Patrick is survived by two sons, Paul T. Chekal and his wife Lori of Lynnfield, MA and Brian P. Chekal and his wife Anne of Niantic, CT; one brother, Michael Chekal of Farmington Hills, Michigan; five grandchildren, James and William Chekal, Blaize, Zoe and Phineas Mitchener as well as several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Services will be private. Contributions in Patrick's honor may be made to the Barrington, Citizen's Scholarship Foundation, 283 County Rd., Barrington, RI 02806. For online tributes, please visit: www.wilbur-romano.com

I want to express my most sincere sympathy to you. I have just heard of Pat´s passing.
I have known him for many years and have felt lucky to have shared many fun experiences in common. Especially our mutual love of Briggs Beach!! I will remember him as such a kind and gentle man
