Patrick Ross Obituary
Feb. 24, 1960 - Dec. 22, 2018
Patrick "Pat" Owen Ross, 58, of Sarasota, Florida died peacefully on December 22, 2018.
Pat was born February 24, 1960 in Washington, Illinois to parents Donald and Margaret Ross. He attended Spalding High School (Peoria, Ill.) and later transferred to Cardinal Mooney High School. Pat went on to play football for Eureka College.
He was a brother of the Tau Kappa Epsilon, enjoyed volunteering with sheltered animals, and was an avid sports fan — rooting for the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He will be remembered for his fun-loving spirit, selfless acts of service, and deep love for his family and friends.
Pat is survived by his daughter, Jessica, grandson, Matthew, mother, six brothers and sisters (Mark, Stephen, Christine, Beth, Terry, and Kathleen), ex-wife, Kimberly Ross and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He joins his father, son-in-law, Matthew Fast, and beloved pet, Itchy, in heaven.
In lieu of flowers, individuals are encouraged to make memorial contributions in his name to Tidewell Hospice (5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Fla. 34238) or the Humane Society of Sarasota (2331 15th St., Sarasota, Fla. 34237).
A celebration of life and mass will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation (2901 Bee Ridge Rd., Sarasota, Fla. 34239).

Dear Ross Family,
I have only the fondest memories of visiting with Pat at Grandma Ross' house. He had such a gift for making all feel welcome and comfortable. He inserted humor whenever and wherever he could for levity. While Grandma didn't always take his jest in stride, everyone else appreciated it:) My memory of him ~ Pat was just about the coolest big cousin one could have. You will be missed. Rest in peace, cousin.
