Mr. Philip “Phil” Dean Morrow, 76, of Coffeyville, Kansas, went to meet his Heavenly Father on September 12, 2025 at CRMC in Coffeyville.
Phil was born on December 1, 1948, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center to Ivan and Laura Morrow. He grew up in Coffeyville, attending local schools before continuing his studies at the Missouri Military Academy. Eventually, he returned home to complete his education in Coffeyville, where his deep roots and lifelong commitment to the community began to flourish.
Phil devoted much of his life to public service and hard work. He began his career working alongside his father at Morrow Foundry before joining the Coffeyville Fire Department in January of 1972. With courage and dedication, he served the department and the citizens of Coffeyville for nearly 25 years until his retirement in 1996. Following his years as a firefighter, Phil continued to serve the community by working for Coffeyville ISD 445 for two decades. His work touched countless lives, leaving a lasting mark on the city he loved.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Laura Morrow, and his younger brother, Richard Morrow. He is survived by his wife, Vicky; sons Matt Morrow, Chad Morrow and Courtly Parker; daughters Kimberly Harden and Kara Williams; and his siblings, David Morrow, Kenny Morrow, Cary Morrow, Ivan Morrow II, and Marilyn Morrow Black, and stepmother Wanda Morrow. He also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Phil will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his service to his community, and his unwavering faith. His legacy will continue through the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to friends, neighbors, and loved ones for the outpouring of prayers, love, and support during this time.
