Rafaela Ruby Obituary
79, of Sun City, AZ, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. She was born in Phoenix, AZ to Melecio and Dionicia Lopez. Rafaela was a devoted Catholic. She worked for Sperry for 22 years as an indicator assembler for airplanes. She also loved to travel and visited Europe, Mexico, Hawaii, South America and the Middle East, as well as many States within the U.S. Rafaela was an avid bowler in the AZ Bowlerettes and USBC and traveled to many bowling national championships. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years, Howard R. Ruby who passed away in February of this year, her brothers, Paul Lopez and Ramon Lopez and her grandson, Robert Wardle, III. Rafaela is survived by her loving children, Dan Medina and Judy Manning; siblings, Linda Bermudez, Richard Lopez, Phil Lopez, Ruben Lopez, Edward Lopez and Rose Taylor; grandchildren, Rochelle Wardle, Michael Medina and Christina Medina; great grandchildren, Alexis, Andrew, Smya, Joyous, Colin, Kelton and Lillyana. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends! A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am with a Rosary starting at 10:30am on Saturday August 24, 2013 at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 15800 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85351. Ruby was very supported when I got hired at Sperry in 1973, She taught me a lot, Ruby was very meek and a very caring person and a great friend back in the day and I've always said that I want to be just like her when I grow up (smile)

A true angel from God. Enjoyed going to bowling tournaments and talking with her. I will always remember the earthquake "1999" in Las Vegas and spending her birthday at Outback. Dear Danny and Judy, my mom told me of your moms passing. Please know how sorry we are for your loss and so soon after your dads passing. I have fond memories from our childhood. She would be pleased to know that I finally like eggs. Ha. Your moms services were held on the same day as my dads death, only 22 years later. God bless you and your families.
