Sheelagh,
We are so sorry for your loss. We are so lucky to be your neighbors for the past 12 years. We will miss our little get togethers having a little sip of wine or beer and a few bits and pieces and so many smiles, laughs and stories. Don't forget our games of New Market it still amazes me how Dick could remember all the cards. Sheelagh you did a wonderful job of giving Dick his independence your a treasure. Dick was loved by us and will be greatly missed a true gem of a gentleman.

With fond memories of Uncle Dick
I'm really chuffed I got to spend time with him during several holidays to Florida. Playing rummey 500, drinking miller lite and enjoying sea food and snacks, the BBQ in the rain, Michelbobs, meals at the Olive Tree with him and Sheelagh. On holidays with boyfriends (ok just the two) you both made us feel so welcome and I know the lads enjoyed hearing memories of Dick's flying days.
A true gentleman - rest in peace Uncle Dick xxx

Richard was a kind soul always with a smile no matter how he felt. He will be missed by all who knew him. I'm so glad he had Sheelagh by his side at all times and that he was at peace at Avow. Bless you Sheelagh.

On a recent visit to Richard & Sheelagh, in April, we had such fun, he sang songs and played cards with us. I've always enjoyed my time with Richard, he will be sadly missed. Love always.

In fond and loving memory of Dick (Richard) with whom we have spent many happy times, holidaying; playing cards; draughts or just talking. Although a man of few words, what he said made great sense. He knew quite a lot about many subjects.
I know Sheelagh, Lisa & Cathy miss him dreadfully but Sheelagh can take great pride in how she has looked after Dick over many years, allowing him to maintain a great quality of life.
He will be greatly missed and always remembered.

No words can express how sorry I am that Richard, whom I have known and loved for many years, is gone from us. There are many memories to share, I remember when he took me flying in his plane, what a great experience for me. Flying was his great joy and so to borrow and paraphrase a couple of lines from that lovely poem so dearly loved by all airmen, this is how I shall remember him "now he has slipped the surly bonds of earth, put out his hand, and touched the face of God"

I'm so sorry for your loss, the world truly has lost a a wonderful man, I have so many memories of your Dad it's hard to pick just one! the fact he didn't kill all of us for some of our "high school antics" is amazing! May you take solace in knowing how much he enjoyed his life, seeing you and your families grow, and the wonderful times he had with your Mom. Love to you all in this difficult time.
