RICHARD SIEGEL Obituary
RICHARD A. SIEGEL
Passed away from lung cancer on June 4, 2013. He leaves his loving wife, Doreen; four wonderful children and their spouses, Jonas (Sara), Aaron (Zoe), Shira (Daniel) and Rachel (Jason); three caring stepsons, Jason, Scott (Eileen) and Kevin (Lisa) Snider; and eight beautiful grandchildren. A native of Chicago, and a graduate of the University of Illinois and the Georgetown University Law Center, Rick was an attorney with the National Labor Relations Board for nearly 37 years, retiring in 2011, as Associate General Counsel. Services will be conducted at the Judean Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 16225 Batchellors Forest Rd., Olney, MD at 10 a.m. on June 5, 2013. Shiva will be observed at the family home in Garrett Park June 5, 12 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m., June 6, 6 to 9 p.m., June 8, 7 to 9 p.m. Contributions should be made to Compass, Inc., 12200 Plum Orchard Dr., Suite A-120, Silver Spring, MD 20904. Arrangements by Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, Inc. under Jewish Funeral Practices Committee of Greater Washington Contract.

Being married to Doreen, he had to be a wonderful gentleman. Richard and I are so sorry to hear of his death, as we were out of the country until June 10.

My condolences on Rick's passing. I was the RD in Milwaukee--he attended my swearing in--and knew and worked with him in various capacities at the NLRB for nearly 30 years. He was a friend as well as a colleague, and he will be greatly missed.

Bob and I are so sorry to hear of Rick's death. We have fond rememberances of our times together, and of my being with you at your wedding. May your many memories of the good times, love and joy you had help ease the immediate pain of your loss.

My sincere condolences on the death of Rick. I was the RD in Los Angeles for 20 years and knew Rick well as a colleague and a friend. We started with the NLRB at about the same time in 1973. He will be missed by the entire NLRB family .
