Robert Boyd Obituary

Robert Allen "Robbie" Boyd II, 53, of Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family (his Wolfpack), on Thursday, December 26, 2024. He was born October 13, 1971, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Robert Allen Boyd Jr., and Brenda Meek Boyd. Rob was a graduate of Waynesburg Central High School and graduated from Slippery Rock University in 1995 with a Bachelor's of Arts in Safety and Environmental studies and with a minor in Business Administration. Mr. Boyd worked for Cargill for 20 years as a Human and Organizational Performance Leader. Rob is survived by his boys, Carson Robert and Caden Allen; and their mother, Kori Eastwood Boyd, with whom he shared a significant part of his life. Mr. Boyd attended Woodlawn Church in Canton, Ohio. Rob found joy in many aspects of his life, including fishing (salmon river mafia), the wrestling community, motorcycles and special times he spent with his dad. However, nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his boys, Carson and Caden. Surviving, in addition to his sons, are his mom, Brenda Meek Boyd of Canton, Ohio; a sister, Robin Boyd (Margaret Mattioli) of Minotola, N.J., a brother, Timothy (Shannon) Boyd of Massillon, Ohio; nieces and nephew: Mackenzie Boyd Thomas (Joey), Sydney Boyd and Mason Boyd; and many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him very much. He also leaves behind a special friend, Becky Wilson and a lifetime of wonderful friends. Deceased are his father, Robert Allen Boyd Jr.; and a brother, Todd Allen Boyd. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday January 2, in the Behm Funeral Home, 182 W. High Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 3, with the Reverend Scott Blair officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg. Condolences may be expressed online at www.behmfh.com. Memorial contributions may be made to Aultman Hospice, 2821 Woodlawn Ave NW, Canton, OH 44708.

I only knew Robbie from observing him on FB, but his love for family was obvious. His son's have memories of trips they will always cherish. May the memories God has placed in your heart comfort you through this difficult time. I grew up with Bob in Clarksville. We are cousins.
