ROBERT BULLARD Obituary

ROBERT "BOB" E. BULLARD, 91, passed away Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018, in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Ind., he was a son of the late Faye and Evelyn (Jackson) Bullard. He was the oldest of four children; only one survives, Warren Bullard. Bob attended North Side High School, was active in sports, an avid golfer, and very competitive. He attended Indiana University. He entered the U.S. Navy and was a Seaman 1st Class serving honorably on the USS Ranger. His career was with Kraft Foods for 41 years and he had been retired for 29 years. He received the highest award Kraft gave, The Jade Ring. He was a devoted employee and still to his last breath, talked of Kraft. His good friend and co-worker was still talking Kraft two weeks ago when Steve Hamilton visited. He read his Bible every day. He was active in volunteering for the Dare to Care Ministries nationwide. He also served on the staff at Three Rivers Literacy Alliance. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Mary; sons, Douglas (Lois) Bullard and son Fred Bullard of Fort Wayne, and David Bullard and sons Luke and Kade of Suwannee, Ga.; daughters, Denise (Matt) Wiesenberg of Overland Park, Kan. and Deborah Lookwood and sons Benjamin Lockwood of Cary, N.C., Andrew (Kira) Lockwood of Zebulon, N.C., and Will (Kristin) Lockwood and their daughter, "our precious great-granddaughter" Noelle Lockwood of Knoxville, Tenn. Also surviving is Bob's brother and best friend, Warren (Sharon) Bullard of Goshen, Ind. and brother-in-law, Jim (Anna) Tomey of Hondo, Texas. Bob was also preceded in death by brother, Ronald Bullard, and sister, Lois Bullard. Service is 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road. Pastor Marc Summers officiating. A gathering to celebrate Bob's life is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Rev. Marc Summers Missions to the World, P.O.
