Born in Bangor, Maine on Feb. 10, 1937, he was the son of the late Mark J. and Phyllis A. (Seymour) Fennerty. Bob grew up in Portsmouth and was a graduate of Portsmouth High School class of 1955.

He was in the Army National Guard of New Hampshire as a Reserve for many years. He was also an Eagle Scout when he was 15 years old.

Bob worked at Jordan-Milton Machinery for 26 years as a Caterpillar Salesman. During that time he also was a National Accounts Sales Manager. Bob also worked for Boston Sand and Gravel at the Manchester Sand and Gravel office as Vice President for 10 years before retiring in 2000.

He married his beloved wife, Linda E. (Darrah), on May 21, 1971. They enjoyed 42 years of marriage at 7 Pond View Drive, Bow, where they resided all their married life.

Bob adored his two St. Bernards, Timothy Patrick and Tabatha Patricia.

Bob loved Caterpillar Tractors, politics, Frank Sinatra's music and golf.

He was a proud member of Concord Country Club for 29 years before he had to resign because of his failing health.

Bob served as Commissioner on the former State Racing Commission and New Hampshire Pari-Mutual Commission for 27 years. He also was a Director of the Associated General Contractors of New Hampshire, Inc. from 1974-1990. Bob was past President of the New Hampshire Good Roads Association from 1973-1974.

Survivors include his wife, Linda (Darrah) Fennerty of Bow; and his brother-in-law, Walter E. Darrah from Bradford. He is also survived by his five nephews, James W. Darrah, Robert W. Darrah, Jon D. Darrah, Troy T. Cornock and Brian D. Cornock; by his nieces, great nieces and one great-nephew, cousins, uncles and many friends. He is also survived by his lifelong best friend, Eugene R. Franzoso from Greenland.

Bob was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Sarah E. Darrah Claflin; his sister in law, Bonnie Lee Darrah Cornock; his favorite aunt, Constance L. Sullivan; and by many other aunts, uncles and grandparents.
