Stephen McCrea
CHILLICOTHE - Stephen "Roofer" McCrea, 61, of Chillicothe passed away Monday, January 21, 2019.
Stephen was born in Peoria, Illinois, to Paul and Lucy McCrea on June 14, 1957.
Stephen owned McCrea Construction and worked as a roofer and carpenter. He loved animals, hunting, fishing and working around his farm. Stephen loved blues music and his Bears!
Surviving are his daughters Stephanie McCrea and Stephani Baker; siblings, Leila and Richard McCrea and Amy Voth; mother, Lucy McCrea; 3 granddaughters, Jessi, Jocelyn and Jasmine; and his dogs, Clem and Bebe. Also surviving is his former wife, Maria Gurdian McCrea.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 10, at Universalist Unitarian Church, 3000 W. Richwood Blvd., Peoria, IL. After the reception, there will be a gathering at Carrigans' Pub in East Peoria.

My sympathies to the family, Steve was the kind of friend that you only have a handful of if you're lucky enough, after 40 + years of friendship and the separations of Life experiences over that 40 years of friendship you could always pick up where you left off like it was only last week that you had seen each other.
He is gone and will be missed but I still have those 40 years of memories.
