SUSAN MACLEAN Obituary

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS - Susan Marie MacLean, 79, formerly of Arlington Heights, passed away January 20, 2021. She was born July 11, 1941 in Chicago to John and Susan (Mullin) Pufahl, and also raised by mother, Rose (McGarrigle) Pufahl. Sue was the beloved wife of the late Terrence MacLean; loving mother of Elizabeth (Paul Fendley) MacLean, Michael (Valerie) MacLean, Susan (Christopher) Dungan and Jennifer (Steven) Smith; cherished grandmother of Isabel (Tushar Mittal) Fendley, Neil Fendley, Jemma Fendley, Jessica (Andrew Riley) MacLean, Matthew MacLean, Bridget Dungan, John Dungan, Nicholas Smith and Brittany Smith; dear sister of Mary Anne (Mike) Upsall and Maureen (Paul) White and fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. For many years Sue was a special education teacher and subsequently Director of Special Education for Schaumburg School District 54. She also served on the Boards of Directors of the Kenneth Young Center (including a term as Chair) and Common Ground. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Due to COVID-related restrictions, the Mass and the entombment at All Saints Cemetery will be private, but all are welcome to join the livestreamed Mass at www.facebook.com/WaysideParish.
