Thomas Eubank Obituary

Thomas Garnett Eubank, age 71, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026.

He was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on June 9, 1954, to Dr. and Mrs. William Procter Eubank. From an early age, Tom was an active, joyful child who loved playing with his neighborhood friends and making sure everyone around him felt included and happy-a trait that defined his life.

Tom attended Vanderbilt University, where he worked diligently, earning a degree in Biology. His strong work ethic followed him throughout his life and was evident in everything he did-whether at the office, in the yard, faithfully serving at church, or, in his later years, devoting himself to the Master Gardener program. He was respected for his integrity, consistency, and quiet leadership.

While working as an orderly in a hospital, Tom met the love of his life, Cheryl. They married on September 23, 1978, and shared more than 46 beautiful years of marriage, building a life rooted in faith, service, laughter, and deep love for family. Together, they believed strongly in the power of prayer and serving others, living out that calling side by side.

Tom was a devoted husband and an extraordinary father to his two daughters, Lindsay Eubank Vallone and Meredith Eubank Moore. He adored being a dad-especially being surrounded by the women in his life-and led his family by example. He taught his girls to put God first, love their family fiercely, enjoy life's simple moments, and always give their best in education, sports, and character.

Family was everything to Tom. From family dinners and game nights to endless adventures and his legendary "Popsicle stick" jokes, he filled their home with laughter and love. What began as a family of four grew into a family of eleven, and Tom treasured every moment. Together, they traveled to all 50 states and several countries, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Tom was a proud and deeply involved grandfather to five grandchildren: Angelo Thomas Vallone (12), Elijah Yates Vallone (8), Charles Pendleton Moore (12), Hamilton Ellis Moore (10), and Madalyn Elyse Moore (8). He delighted in teaching them how to shoot a basketball, play card games, and embark on week-long family adventures. In quieter moments, he found joy in bird watching, faithfully checking his bird feeder each day to see what visitors might arrive.

Above all, Tom was kind. He would do anything for anyone and always seemed to know the right thing to say-or text-often accompanied by the perfect emojis. He leaned on the Lord for guidance and passed on his faith, wisdom, and calm reassurance to his family.

Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl Eubank; daughters Lindsay (Matteo) Vallone and Meredith (Benjamin) Moore; his five cherished grandchildren; and his brother, Procter Eubank (Joey). He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
A life well lived, a man so loved, and a legacy of faith, family, and service that will endure forever.

A service to celebrate Tom's life will be held at Compel Church Olive Branch on Monday, February 9, 2026, with Visitation from 10-12pm and service immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St Jude Children's Hospital St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Convoy of Hope Convoy of Hope | Nonprofit | Humanitarian Organization, which was close to Tom's heart.
