Comfort from knowing that God feels for us when we suffer.Zechariah 2:8.

Today I was reading Life's Reflections written by Tommy Hawkins and Petting the beast that is never tame.

Mr. Hawkins spoke at Rotary of Sierra Madre several years ago. I treasure his book of poetry for the people because it is so.

I have been a fan of Mr. Hawkins my adult life when I began listening to KABC. He was always an inspiration, great humor and much admired.

It was great to see him at the Dodger games, too. He was friendly and made himself...

To the family and friends, I am so sorry for your loss. May the God of comfort, continue to bless you and bring comfort to your family.

God Bless the family of this great man who performed as a first draft at a time when black men were exceptional and not recognized in our history. Rest in Peace and enter the gates of Heaven as the Master says, "Well Done!!".

My condolences to the Hawkins family, and in particular to my classmate Kevin, on the loss of a great man-a Notre Dame man. We couldn't have been blessed with a better public representative of our University here in Los Angeles. RIP Tommy.
