It is hard to believe it has been 7 years since Tom Holst was taken from so many of us. A day doesn´t go by without my thoughts turning to Tom and the absence in my life. How I wish things could have been different. My own mortality has become something I think about often - remembering plans we made and the many good times we shared. RIP dearest friend.

i am so sorry to find that my friend has died. We were roommates in college in East Lansing in the 70s and i remember so his sense of humor, ethics toward the planet and curiosity... he was a very unique man... i only discovered his passing by trying to look him up when i was visiting seattle this week... his cell didn't work... guess i'll have to reach out for him in other ways, on other planes in the future.

I'm so shocked... I can't imagine such a thing happen. I'm really sorry, Tom. I wish I could have contacted you more frequently, I wish I could have seen you sooner... But, thank you for everything. I'm glad that I met you on that day, and this is not over. Please R.I.P - in the stars, I will meet you again.

Tom's passing was sudden, unexpected and a shock for so many of his dear friends. He leaves a gigantic cavern in so many lives. We all expected his charming, unflappable presence to be with us, sweetening our lives and helping to make the unbearable manageable for many more years. Tom was my rock and he got me through countless difficult crises. And he was always there for me. I don't know how to get on without him...

Will miss you, cousin Tom. But will always remember the good times we had as kids growing up in Michigan, sharing a love for architecture and seeing you during visits to Seattle. Love ya, man.
