William Charlesworth Obituary

William L. Charlesworth

On August 8, 2024 our beloved father, William L. Charlesworth passed away. Born February 4, 1937, to John and Mary Charlesworth of Coffeyville, Kansas. He graduated Texas Christian University after serving in the Navy. Married to Marjorie Ann Shackelford for nearly fifty years and worked for Jameson Door in Kansas City and Midwest Materials of Springfield, Missouri. Residing in Springfield where he was an avid sportsman and raised Brittany Spaniels. He enjoyed Table Rock Lake, and his country music friends on the dock. He lived in Albuquerque, NM for 18 years where he worked for the Environment Department. He is proceeded in death by his beloved wife, parents and grandson Harrison Ross Charlesworth. He is succeeded by his son William R. and Alison Charlesworth; son David and Karen Charlesworth; son John C. and Phoenix Charlesworth; Grandchildren Amanda and Nathaniel Hay; Gandalf and Dee Hudlow; Nathan Charlesworth; Maya Charlesworth; William Dremann-Charlesworth; Hannah and Michael Capasso; Leah Brantly and great grandchildren Stryder Hudlow, Noah Hay, Roman Hay, Addison Brantly and Kingston Brantly. The funeral home is Ford Wulf Bruns Chapel of Coffeeville, KS. A memorial service will be held in Kansas City at the Mt Moriah Newcomer Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road on September 14, 2024, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers please donate to the World Wildlife Fund or the Animal Humane Society in his name.
