Catherine Truex Obituary
Brownsville - Catherine E. Truex, age 62, of Brownsville, passed on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at her residence. She was born October 5, 1956 in Newark, Ohio to the late Gerald R. and Ruth (Huff) Truex.
Catherine was a 1975 graduate Sheridan High School and Wittenberg University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was an avid reader and enjoyed needlework. Catherine was a kind and caring person who could be set in her ways and at times and was known speak her mind. She also loved working in her flower and rose garden.
She is survived by two brothers, David R. (Miriam) Truex of Thornville and William T. Truex of Findlay; three nieces, Joni Wears, Rachel Truex and Brooke Truex; a nephew, Christopher Truex; three grand-nieces, Savannah Wears, Bailey Wears and Elise Wears; many cousins; and her very special fur babies, Ronnie and Moxie.
At Catherine's request, there will be no service or calling hours.
The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 59 North Fifth Street, Newark, is assisting the Truex family with arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made in Catherine's name to the Licking County Humane Society, 825 Thornwood Drive SW, Heath, Ohio 43056
