Nancy Bashore Obituary
Thornville - Nancy Elizabeth Bashore, age 66, of Thornville, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Licking Memorial Hospital from injuries sustained in an accident on her birthday. Nancy was born January 26, 1954 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Lyman Eugene and Charlotte (Silliman) Bashore and was the third of five children.
Nancy was a 1972 graduate of Sheridan High School and received a Master's Degree in Education from The Ohio State University. She was an avid OSU football fan, sharing her football tickets with family and friends.
Nancy taught at a community college in Florida, at Hocking Tech in Athens and at Sheridan High School. She loved teaching and after retirement would sub at Thornville Elementary.
Nancy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Amy Sax of Cincinnati; sisters, Mary Felty of Thornville and Trudy Bashore of South Carolina; brothers, Michael Bashore of Logan and Jeffrey Bashore of Somerset; sister-in-law, Debbie Bashore; nieces and nephews, Andy (Stacey) Bashore, Amy (Dennis) Martin, Steven Felty, Hannah and Hunter Bashore, Jaden, Jackson and Brady Martin, and Lane Felty.
Nancy will be remembered fondly by her family and the community as "the lady who walked everywhere".
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, February 5, at the Thornville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service.
Nancy will be laid to rest at a later date at Zion Ridge Cemetery next to her parents.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Perry County Dog Shelter, 1650 Commerce Drive, New Lexington, OH 43764.

Nancy was a wonderfully loyal, intelligent and lovely library patron and it was our pleasure to see her on a weekly basis. She had a positive attitude and always said a kind word. She will be greatly missed.

I always saw Nancy at The athletic zone in thornport working out. Her work ethics were unbelievable. I didn't
